Johnny, Be Good

An Aggie friend sent me this article about JFF that appeared in today's Bryan Eagle.  I can't really get too upset with the partying and the pics.  Honestly, I think he does some of this on purpose, cause he thinks it is funny.

Here, the pimply, shirtless redneck thug:

Here, the good teammate :

Here, the silly teenager:

and here, the Heisman winner:

He will work his way through all of this or he won't.  Only time will tell.  In the meantime, as long as he doesn't turn into a Rothlisbergerish serial sexual assaulter or a Casey Pachall drug fiend, I plan to cut him a little slack.

Joeckel Declares for the NFL

Here is an open letter that Luke Joeckel wrote to the 12th man and his Aggie teammates.  I am sad to see him go, but cannot imagine a better
ambassador for A&M. I wish him great success.

High Cotton

This blog post perfectly captures how I and many Aggies have felt for years.  Battered Aggie Syndrome.  Genius.

I now have watched the game 3 times, and it just gets better and better.
That JFF plays for A&M still feels like having a Super model coming on to me - while I wonder which friend is responsible for the gag. Hallie, DW and I went to the game . DW is a genuine Aggie fan so he and I left JerryWorld (very nice stadium!) on a cloud. Though fully satisfied (after 64 years) there is more to come. We just had a recruit from Florida (Tony Stevens) switch to us from FSU - and he is astoundingly good. Look up his Jr. Highlight film. He joins Kyrion Parker and Ricky Seals-Jones - both better than any receiver we've signed in my memory. If we get the four star USC commit (Torrodney Pevot -6'4" LB who can run) we'll have an amazing finish to this recruiting class. Heads up, the BCS Championship game for 2014 is at the Rose Bowl on Monday Jan 6, 2014. see you there.
