The Championship Series: UT v. LSU

Losing 3-2 to Arizona State with one out in the bottom of the ninth, UT catcher Cameron Rupp homered to tie the game. With two outs, CF Connor Rowe hit a walk-off home run to give the Horns a 4-3 victory. UT advances to the 3-game championship series against LSU beginning Monday, June 22.

  1. they will have to play better defense if they are going to beat LSU. This last game with Az was an error-fest.

  2. you are correct lsquared, they have committed way too many errors throughout this series. they have been lucky to win and get this far. they will beat LSU only if their pitching stiffles LSU.

  3. LSU has rolled through the CWS like a Juggernaut. Anything can happen in a 3 game series, but Texas will need to play better. I just hope that UT or A&M are here in 2011 so Laird will come up for the games!

  4. I saw the 8th and 9th innings. Pretty exciting game. In the postgame interviews Rupp and Rowe talked about knowing the way the pitcher would pitch them and looking for it. Rupp fastball and Rowe changup. Good coaching and smart hitting.
